HUST Admission Scores in 2026

This afternoon (August 9), Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the university admission scores for 68 training programs in 2026. Accordingly, the admission scores range from 20.06 to 29.54 based on the High School Graduation Exam scores. The highest admission score is 29.54 based on the High School Graduation Exam, which is equivalent to a Talent-based Admission (XTTN) Category 1.2 score of 96.74; a Talent-based Admission Category 1.3 score of 96.09, and a Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) score of 82.12.

According to Prof. Vu Van Yem - Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, as of 1:00 PM this afternoon, the virtual filtering work of the Northern Admission Group chaired by Hanoi University of Science and Technology had completed its tasks according to the general process. Although there are some new updates in the admission process this year, the virtual filtering results were implemented synchronously and accurately, and handed over to the universities in the group within the deadline prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Regarding the admission scores for the training programs of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, they generally increased compared to 2025, especially in the STEM training sectors due to the effect of the Government's scholarship policies as well as labor market demands. Accordingly: 3/68 programs have admission scores above 29 points; 14/68 programs have admission scores above 28 points; 30/68 programs have admission scores above 27 points; 53/68 programs have admission scores above 24 points.

The Advanced Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT-E10) continues to have the highest admission score this year at 29.54 points based on the High School Graduation Exam. Following is the Computer Science Program (IT1) with an admission score of 29.27 points. The majors forecasted to continue having high competition all have very high admission scores, such as the Control Engineering and Automation Program (EE2) with 28.98 points; the Microelectronics and Nanotechnology Engineering Program (MS2) with 28.64 points; the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Program (ET1) with 28.57 points; and the Mechatronics Engineering Program (ME1) with 28.47 points. The newly opened program this year, Computational Science for Smart Systems (MI-E22), also achieved a very high admission score of 27.97 points.

The 2 programs with the lowest admission scores this year are BF-E19 and EM-E17, with a score of 20.06 points based on the High School Graduation Exam.

Score Deviations Between Admission Combinations

Based on the general guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training and the score distribution of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announces the score deviations between admission combinations using the High School Graduation Exam scores as follows:
 
Accordingly, there is no score deviation between the combinations A00, A01, B00, D07, and K01 when admitting to engineering majors, and between the combinations D01, D04, and DD2 when admitting to economics, education, and foreign language majors.

However, for some programs in the economics, education, and foreign language sectors that use combinations from both groups above, the admission scores for combinations A00, A01, B00, D07, and K01 will be 0.5 points higher than the admission scores for combinations D01, D04, and DD2.

Example 1: The EM1 - Energy Management program is admitting with 4 High School Graduation Exam combinations: K01, A00, A01, and D01. If the admission score for combination D01 is 24.56 points, the admission score for combinations K01, A00, and A01 will be 25.06 points.

Example 2: Similarly, for the FL4 - Korean for Science and Technology program, which is admitting with 3 combinations: K01, D01, and DD2. If the admission score for combination D01 is 22.98 points, the admission score for combination DD2 will still be 22.98 points, while the admission score for combination K01 will be 23.48 points.
