The SG Academies South-East Asia Fellowship (SASEAF) Programme aims to facilitate meaningful collaborations between Singapore’s distinguished research institutions and promising postdoctoral researchers from South-East Asia. This fellowship offers a 2-year opportunity to engage in impactful research that contributes to advancements in their respective fields.

    The following research topics are preferred but not mandatory. Applicants may propose any field of research done in Singapore’s research institutions. A list of public institutions can be found here.

    • Infectious Diseases*

    • Population Health/Public Health

    • Sustainability, including Urban Agriculture

APPLICATION DEADLINE (RIE2025 Final Call)

  • All applicants will be notified of the results once confirmed.

  • NOTE: Applicants who were not successful in previous attempts are welcome to reapply. Previous application outcomes will not impact the likelihood of being offered the fellowship in the new application process.

*As this will be the Final Call under RIE2025, the expected timeline will be as follows:

  • 2 May 2025: Call for applications

  • 1 Aug 2025: Application closes

  • Aug – Sep 2025: Evaluation & Deliberation

  • Oct 2025: Offers sent to successful candidates

  • Mar 2026: Projected start of fellowship
