Hanoi University of Technology signed a cooperation agreement with Kanto Gakuin University (Japan)

On March 20th, 2017, at HUST campus, Prof. Hoang Minh Son - President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Prof. Hiroyoshi Kiku - President of Kanto Gakuin University (KGU) - Japan signed an academic cooperation agreement. This is an important event to promote training high-quality human resources, exchange staff and collaborate in scientific research.

The purpose of this agreement is to develop academic and educational cooperation and to promote mutual understanding between the two universities. Both universities agrees to develop collaborative activities in academic areas of mutual interest, such as exchange of staffs, researchers, students; Implementation of collaborative research projects and promotion of other academic cooperation.

Assoc. Prof. Hoang Minh Son affirmed the importance and significance of this signing ceremony and he considered this as an opportunity for both universities to promote intensive cooperation in some common fields of interest. After the signing ceremony, research groups of both sides had a meeting to discuss about Surface Engineering research activity. It is expected that the cooperation agreement would create a Legal framework to promote mutual interest collaboration activities between the two universities.

Some information about Kanto Gakuin University (KGU)
 
• Founded in 1884 in Yokohama, a large city with the population of 3.73 million people near Tokyo, the capital of Japan.  KGU is a prestigious university in Japan. University operations cover approximately 10000 students.
• The specialization of KGU focuses on the fields of science and technology, education, law, architecture, environment and society.
• KGU exchanges annually 9 PhDs, 40 Master students, 2239 Bachelor students to study and do research at many universities and research institutes around the world.
• KGU promotes academic exchange throughout the world and have many academic exchange agreements with universities as well as research institutes abroad. Partners of KGU are located in following countries: USA, UK, Australia, France, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia…
