On July 29, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, through the Science and Technology Office, coordinated with the IEEE Vietnam Section to organize the Program "Pathways Forward with Technology Talent and the Global IEEE Community". The program brought together top leaders of IEEE - the world's largest technical professional organization - along with international experts, reflecting the shared commitment of scientists in promoting engineering, technology, innovation, and international cooperation.
Delivering the opening speech of the program, Prof. Vu Van Yem - Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology - emphasized the role of talent training in contributing to the economic and technological development of Vietnam. He affirmed: "Today, Hanoi University of Science and Technology continues to transform into an advanced research university with global aspirations. The mission of HUST does not stop at training excellent engineers, but we strive to create future researchers and leaders - those who not only possess outstanding technical capacity but also have creativity, integrity, a global vision, and a high sense of social responsibility."
However, in the context of strong and continuous digital transformation, where clean energy and sustainable development are becoming global priorities, universities need to solve the problem of training future engineers with a solid foundational knowledge and the ability to communicate internationally effectively, work in multidisciplinary teams, think critically, innovate responsibly, and continuously learn throughout their careers.
At the program, internationally prestigious scholars presented research on topics such as: Trends in science, technology, and human resource development in the global era; Career orientation for young engineers and researchers; Skills for writing articles and international publication; Opportunities to join academic networks and IEEE communities globally; Opportunities for research cooperation, developing international conferences, and connecting with IEEE Societies.
Also during the event, Prof. Vu Van Yem specially introduced a presentation titled "How to write a high-quality academic paper for conference presentation."
