Call for Applications: International Faculty Exchange Program (IFEP) 2026 at Chandigarh University, India

Within the framework of cooperation between Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Chandigarh University, India, HUST is pleased to invite its faculty members to apply for the 17th International Faculty Exchange Program (IFEP) 2026, hosted by Chandigarh University from September to November 2026.
The program offers HUST faculty members an opportunity to engage in international teaching, research, academic exchange, and networking with faculty members and students at Chandigarh University. Flexible participation periods may be arranged based on the availability of selected faculty members.

Opportunities for Visiting Faculty
Depending on their academic expertise and mutual interests, participating faculty members may engage in a range of academic and research activities, including:
  • Teaching core and/or elective courses;
  • Co-supervising undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students;
  • Developing joint research publications;
  • Participating in externally funded projects as Co-Principal Investigators;
  • Developing joint proposals for international research funding; and
  • Mentoring and interacting with undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
The program provides a valuable platform for HUST faculty members to expand their international academic networks, explore potential research collaboration, and develop longer-term partnerships with colleagues at Chandigarh University.

Eligibility
Applicants are expected to:
  • Hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline;
  • Be serving at the rank of Senior Lecturer or above; and
  • Have strong academic and research credentials, supported by publications in reputable conferences and journals.
Professors, Associate Professors, and qualified faculty members from relevant disciplines are encouraged to apply.


Support Provided by Chandigarh University
During the visit, Chandigarh University will provide selected visiting faculty members with:

  • Pick-up from Chandigarh Airport (IXC);
  • Local airport transportation;
  • Hospitality during the stay;
  • A leisure trip in or around the city;
  • Printing privileges; and
  • Internet access.
Please note that no remuneration will be provided under this program.

Application and Selection Timeline
The key deadlines for IFEP 2026 are as follows:

15 September 2026 – Deadline for submission of Profile/CV
18 September 2026 – Shortlisting of Profile/CV
20 September 2026 – Finalization of academic/research topics
25 September 2026 – Finalization of itinerary
Applications will be reviewed based on academic credentials, professional and research qualifications, and alignment with the program. Shortlisted candidates will undergo academic evaluation by Chandigarh University. Following final approval, selected faculty members will work with the host university to finalize their session topics and schedule before receiving an official invitation letter.
