The World Youth Skills Day (Asia Pacific) 2022, hosted by the Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore) is a three-month program that represents the collective voices of youth in the Asia-Pacific region on the thinking and aspirations for “Future of Work” and “Skills for the Future”, focusing on the three key messages on Development of Future-Ready skills in Green and Digital Economy, Re-designing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for The Future and Building Inclusive TVET Systems. The program was associated with diverse partners from Asia Pacific countries namely Singapore, China, Thailand, Myanmar, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) was honored to be the representative from Vietnam.

After more than 20 events celebrated in collaboration with a total of 43 local and international partners, World Youth Skills Day (Asia Pacific) 2022 went to an end in November 2022 with outstanding achievements. Especially, from the very beginning to the last minutes of the program, voices and energy of the youth had always been the focal point where many student speakers and ambassadors from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) also contributed their inspirational and collective viewpoints to speak out the Youth Declaration that was presented to UNESCO-UNEVOC recently in Bonn at the UNESCO UNEVOC TVET Strategy (2022 to 2029) launch. Among them, Youth Ambassadors - Ms Linh Truong Thi, Ms Le Doan Hai Anh and Ms Vu Thu Thao have significantly contributed to these accomplishments. Moreover, Ms Le Thi Thu Huong, a last-year student who represented HUST youth voice in bringing her educational journey story to inspire other young students to overcome their own difficulties to attain outstanding goals. Her story and aspirations for the future of work and passion for learning left a deep impression on many young participants and other stakeholders.
We can together achieve all these with strong support from UNESCO-UNEVOC and especially from our valued partner - Temasek Polytechnic.
