PROGRAM OUTLINE
A joint study program for students from Tokyo Tech- AYSEAS member universities in the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan.
Participants can learn much from the dynamism of fast-growing Asia in industry, education and governance through discussion and communication with students from different backgrounds.
This year, the program will be held in the Philippines, hosted by De La Salle University!
DURATION & CONTENTS
11-day study visit to the Philippines (Manila):
August 27 – September 6, 2024
(1) Site Visits (TBC: in alphabetical order):
Advanced Science and Technology Institute
Epson Precision (Philippines) Inc.
Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
Philippine Space Agency
Toyota Motor Corporation
(2) Discussion: Participants will make several groups to exchange opinions on selected topics.
(3) Presentation: Each group will give a presentation on the final day.
(4) Cultural Exchange: Participants will introduce their local culture to all.

REQUIREMENTS
(1) Applicant must be a regular student (in bachelor’s or master’s course) in a member university
(2) Applicants should have ability to communicate in English.
(3) Participants are expected to participate in all program activities held in Manila and stay in a hotel together. Participants must be able to obtain an appropriate visa and be able to travel to Manila.
HOW TO APPLY
(1) Application: Students who would like to participate in the program should apply from the URL below. An English 500-word essay is required.

Deadline: Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 23:59 Japan Standard Time
(2) The Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Office will forward the application forms to the students’ home universities for selection.
(3) The home universities nominate the successful applicants from their universities and send the results to the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Office.
(4) After receiving nominations from member universities, the Tokyo TechAYSEAS Office will send the acceptance notices to each successful candidate asking each accepted student to confirm his/her intention to join the program.
(5) The successful candidates should reply to the Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS Office by the deadline (mid-June).
FEES & EXPENSES
Program fee is exempted. Participants are responsible for the cost of their:
(1) Airfare (Home > Manila > Home)
(2) Accommodation (breakfast included): approximately PHP20,000 (subject to
change)
(3) Travel insurance
(4) Visa application fee (if applicable)
(5) Personal expenses (meals, drinks, snacks, souvenirs, sightseeing etc.)
Accommodation will be a hotel twin room arranged by Tokyo Tech. The bus for site visits will be arranged and paid by Tokyo Tech.

Main theme: “From Asia to the World”
The discussion topics for Tokyo Tech-AYSEAS 2024 will be announced on the first day of the program.

CANCELLATION FEE
Tokyo Tech may cancel the trip due to the spread of infectious diseases, etc. In such cases, applicants must understand that they will be responsible for cancellation fees.
