Participants will study both state-of-the-art technologies from technical aspects and cultures & histories of Asian countries from social science perspectives. It is perfectly suitable for making diverse friends and improving English communication skills. In the previous 2023 programme, nearly 70 students completed this course and were awarded the certificate. In September 2024, 44 participants traveled to ITS for in-person group work, while others joined online.
[Programme content]
1st half: 6 lectures about technical subjects, Friday 15:00-18:00 (GST+7, e.g., Indonesia, Thailand), 16:00-19:00 (GST+8, e.g., Malaysia, The Philippines), 17:00-20:00 (GST+9, e.g., Japan) on June 14th, 21st, 28th, and July 5th (all Fridays)
2nd half: either (1) in-person lectures and group activities at the campus from Sep. 13th until 19th (required to travel to Surabaya, Indonesia), or (2) only online participation on Sep. 16th, 17th, and 19th.

- make various foreign friends through group work and extra-curricular activities,
- acquire knowledge about a wide range of technologies and Asian histories and cultures (no need for prerequisite technical expertise),
- have more opportunities for English communication with practical usage,
- develop self-confidence in a friendly atmosphere where challenges and mistakes are encouraged, and/or

- Covered by ITS: on-campus guest house for accommodation, local transportation. Your breakfast and lunch will be provided by ITS as well.
