"The inauguration ceremony of the 'Just Picture It: The World Around You' photo exhibition, themed 'Environment through the Human Lens,' took place in early December on the Hanoi University of Science and Technology campus. The exhibition is part of the collaborative efforts and sponsorship from the British Council, involving universities in both the UK and Vietnam. Its primary objective is to raise awareness about the environment and sustainable development.
Beyond being just an environmental photography contest, all entries will be shared on a digital platform and utilized to create open learning resources for English teaching activities, establishing a connection between education and climate change awareness.
Although unable to attend, Mr. Davide Guarini Gilmartin, Senior Academic Manager of English Programs at the British Council in Vietnam, conveyed a sincere message of support during the opening ceremony. He expressed full support for initiatives promoting cooperation and cultural exchange in education between Vietnam and the UK, as well as between the British Council and various entities in both countries.
The exhibition is scheduled from December 1 to 15, featuring captivating photos by students from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Plymouth Marjon University, and the photography community. The exhibition revolves around three main themes: the beauty of the world around us, global challenges, and collective actions to improve the environment. The finest photos are showcased at:
