On May 7, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Prof. Manfred Bayer, President of TU Dortmund University (Germany). The cooperation brings many new opportunities to staff, faculty, and students of the two universities.
In furtherance of their mutual interests in the fields of education and research, HUST and TU Dortmund agree to enter into the following terms of agreement for the purpose of promoting academic and educational cooperation exchanges. The main focus of cooperation will be especially in the field of higher education and academic staff exchange. This may extend to other academic disciplines and collaborative initiatives as agreed upon in writing by both parties. The areas, the conditions, and the means of cooperation shall be determined through mutual agreement. Representatives from TU Dortmund.
According to the MoU, the two sides will promote cooperation in scientific research and cultural exchange. In particular, both parties will: Exchange of information and publications of mutual interest; exchange of teaching and research staff; exchange of bachelor, master and PhD students; cooperation in research; organisation of common seminars, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions; cooperation in curriculum development. Representatives of HUST and TU Dortmund commemorate the signing with a group photo.
In addition, a joint annual program will cover details of implementation of the cooperation; it will be jointly formulated and approved in advance.
