Continuing its series of activities in Europe, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Huỳnh Quyết Thắng, has secured important cooperation agreements with the University of Brescia and the ASEA-UNINET network.
Signing a Cooperation Agreement with the University of Brescia
On September 8, 2025, a ceremony was held at the University of Brescia (Republic of Italy) to sign a cooperation agreement between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the University of Brescia.
At the signing ceremony, Prof. Francesco Castelli, Rector of the University of Brescia, and Assoc. Prof. Huỳnh Quyết Thắng, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, affirmed that bilateral international cooperation has yielded encouraging results in recent years. In particular, student and faculty exchange programs have increasingly attracted participants from both universities. Building on this foundation, the two universities decided to sign a cooperation agreement to expand into new areas, including: academic exchange; developing joint training programs and courses; establishing joint research groups and laboratories; and expanding research cooperation in strategic technologies, publications, and scientific conferences. The cooperation will be implemented across numerous engineering and technology fields where both institutions have strengths, while also extending to economics, educational sciences, and languages.

The newly signed agreement promises an effective and sustainable model of cooperation, creating new opportunities for faculty and students of both universities to engage more deeply in international training and research programs. It will also build and strengthen ties between academia and international enterprises, creating favorable conditions for students from both sides to quickly access a global learning and working environment.
Deepening Cooperation within the ASEA-UNINET Framework
On the same day, September 8, 2025, during the ASEA-UNINET (ASEAN-European Academic University Network) conference held at the University of Brescia from September 8 to September 12, 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the ASEA-UNINET network signed a membership cooperation document.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) has been a member of the ASEA-UNINET network since its early days of establishment in 1994. Since then, HUST has always been an active member in academic exchange programs, training talented students and young staff to become skilled experts, scientists, and lecturers.
The signing of this membership document will further strengthen the multifaceted cooperative relationship between HUST and other member universities in Southeast Asia and Europe. It will open up opportunities for students and faculty to engage more deeply and broadly in the academic and research environments not only at Southeast Asian universities but also at prestigious universities across Europe.
The working visit successfully secured important cooperation agreements, opening up many positive prospects and aligning with the internationalization strategy of Hanoi University of science and technology.
