On August 25, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) attended the University-Enterprise Cooperation Forum in Da Nang, themed "Tripartite Cooperation in High-Tech and Strategic Technology Training and R&D," and signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd., THACO Industries, and CT Group.
According to Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology: "For HUST, cooperation with enterprises must become an alliance—for the success of our learners, for the creativity and brilliance of our teachers, and to demonstrate our responsibility to the community."
The University-Enterprise Cooperation Forum was chaired by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in collaboration with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, through the Australia-Vietnam Human Resource Development Program (Aus4Skills), and the University of Da Nang. The annual event serves as a bridge to connect and promote enhanced cooperation between universities and corporations.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son, representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance, and nearly 120 delegates, including leaders from agencies, organizations, associations, and businesses in high-tech and strategic technology fields such as Vietnam Railways, Hoa Phat Group, Thaco, Navigos Group, CT Group, Mitsubishi Electric, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical, Panasonic, and others. Also present were leaders from 50 higher education institutions and several vocational schools with strengths in these areas of training and research.
In 2025, the Forum focused on the theme "Tripartite Cooperation in High-Tech and Strategic Technology Training and R&D." The forum provided an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss and propose solutions—from mechanisms and policies to a culture of collaboration—to elevate the "Tripartite" partnership (State - Academia - Enterprise). This aims to contribute to the development of a high-quality workforce and create breakthroughs in science, technology, and innovation.

According to a representative from the Ministry of Education and Training, in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the country is accelerating industrialization, modernization, and deep international integration. In this landscape, the development of science, technology, innovation, and a high-quality workforce are pivotal and decisive factors.
To effectively implement the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, it is crucial to further promote close linkages among entities within the innovation ecosystem. The "Tripartite" cooperation—with the State providing direction and creating institutions and policies, Academia fulfilling the mission of training, research, and knowledge development, and Enterprises applying and transferring technology to create products and economic value—is the "golden key" to realizing national policies, solving major challenges, and contributing to the nation's development in this "era of national ascent."
The 2025 University-Enterprise Cooperation Forum included a plenary session, thematic sessions, and a signing ceremony for cooperation agreements between universities and corporations.
During the plenary session, a representative leader from the Ministry of Education and Training delivered a keynote address evaluating and providing direction on cooperation in high-tech and strategic technology training and R&D. The host institution, the University of Da Nang, gave a welcome speech. Officials from MOET departments (the Department of Higher Education and the Department of Science, Technology, and Information) and international experts from Australia, the United States, and Japan, along with representatives from businesses and higher education institutions, delivered keynote reports and presentations from practical perspectives.
In the thematic sessions, 25 papers were presented and discussed by delegates under two main themes: University-Enterprise Cooperation in High-Quality Human Resource Training and Research, and Building a Culture of Cooperation and Affirming the Social Responsibility of Universities and Enterprises.
A highlight of the Forum was the cooperation signing event between universities and corporations, with 21 MoUs being signed. The agreements focused on collaboration in training and research in strategic and priority fields such as: Artificial Intelligence; Blockchain; Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Quantum Computing; next-generation mobile networks (5G/6G); Robotics and Automation; Semiconductor Chips; advanced Energy and Materials Technology; Aerospace Technology; Rare Earths, Ocean, and Subterranean Technology; and Cybersecurity.
With its practical and effective activities, the 2025 University-Enterprise Cooperation Forum affirmed a shared understanding, a renewed mindset, and a collective determination to advance the mission of training a high-quality workforce and promoting science, technology, and innovation in the nation's key strategic sectors.
The event took place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training).
