Within the framework of the international Erasmus+ project “Bridging the Digital Divide between Mongolia and Vietnam through Digital Transformation in Higher Education Institutions (DIGITAL MOVE)”, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) has actively participated in the development and implementation of Digital Soft Skills courses for lecturers and students across the network of partner universities involved in the project.
The course is delivered through the DIGITAL MOVE online learning platform and aims to equip learners with essential competencies for the digital environment, including digital literacy, online communication and collaboration skills, digital safety and security, digital well-being, and effective learning and working skills in the context of higher education digital transformation.
With HUST’s academic contribution to course design and implementation, more than 100 lecturers and over 1,000 students from participating universities in the DIGITAL MOVE consortium have completed the course and are eligible to receive online certificates issued via the project’s certification system.
HUST’s involvement in developing the Digital Soft Skills course not only contributes to enhancing digital competencies among lecturers and students, but also demonstrates the university’s proactive role in knowledge sharing, disseminating digital education models, and supporting the project’s overarching goal of bridging the digital divide in higher education. This initiative also provides a strong foundation for further expansion of digital training programs, blended learning, and open digital learning resources in the coming phases.
DIGITAL MOVE is an Erasmus+ project that advances digital transformation in Mongolian and Vietnamese universities by promoting innovative teaching and learning, strengthening digital skills, and sharing good practices across institutions, processes, individuals, and communities—ultimately bridging the digital divide and reducing the risk of social exclusion. The consortium includes 13 universities: 4 from Mongolia (CITI University; Mongolian University of Life Sciences; Otoch Manramba University; Erdenet Institute of Technology), 2 from Europe (Université Côte d’Azur, France; Technical University of Košice, Slovakia), and 7 from Vietnam (Tay Nguyen University; University of Danang; Nha Trang University; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Can Tho University; Quy Nhon University; University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City).
