On July 15, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) welcomed a delegation from Northeastern University, USA. The visit provided an opportunity for students from both institutions to engage in meaningful exchange. They explored Vietnam’s innovation and entrepreneurship landscape, and interacted directly with guest speakers and representatives from local startups to learn about their startup experiences and creative initiatives.

This exchange was not only a learning opportunity, but a chance for meaningful dialogue, and cross-cultural connection between HUST and Northeastern University. This event had even greater significance as it was held in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of US-Vietnam diplomatic relations.
The program was all about exploring Vietnam’s emerging innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem - and more importantly, learning through connection, sharing, and real-world insights.

Following a bonding game, keynote session titled “Igniting your Entrepreneurship and Innovation spirit in the context of Vietnamese emerging economy” began.

The participants listened to the sharing insights on Vietnam’s I&E landscape and introduce the BK Holdings incubation model, deliveried by Ms. Jen Vu Huong, Incubation Program Director at BK Holdings.
Additionally, two dynamic Vietnamese startups presented their own journey in turn. First, Mr. Duong Dinh Huy, Business Development Director of Apicoo Robotics, shared insights into the company’s vision, operations, and the challenges they’ve tackled in Vietnam’s emerging tech landscape. Following Mr. Huy, Mr. Vu Khang Thanh, Founder of Duoc Khang Pharco JSC, shared his entrepreneurial story and business insights.
The inspiring sharing of the speakers raised questions about the business environment, startup culture and cross-cultural experiences in Vietnam for multinational students.

On May 21, Hanoi University of Science and Technology welcomed a delegation of French students to study in the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering during the Summer and Fall semesters, as well as a delegation from the National University of Singapore to wrap up their internship at the School of Economics and Management.
