On March 9, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. to enhance students' language skills, soft skills, corporate culture, and intercultural awareness.
As part of the 2021-2025 development strategy, HUST focuses on internationalization, innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability. Strengthening ties with Japan remains a key priority, especially after the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations in 2023. Representatives from HUST and Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. sign the MoU.
The partnership between HUST and Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. strengthens collaboration with Japanese institutions, particularly in education and research, and advances the university’s global standing.
On the same day, HUST hosted the first Japanese Language Speech Contest on Transportation, sponsored by Fukuyama Transporting and Fukuyama University. The competition brought together students from HUST and five northern universities: Vietnam National University, Foreign Trade University, Hanoi University, Ha Long University, and Thang Long University. Emphasizing its international significance, Iijima Isao, Special Advisor to the Japanese Cabinet, noted that the Japanese Language Writing and Speech Contest is being held across ten locations in seven countries.
Representing HUST, Nguyen Nhat Anh, a Cohort 67 student in the Mechatronics joint program with Japan, presented on traffic congestion in Hanoi, analyzing its impact and proposing solutions from the perspective of a mechanical engineer.
