On March 12, HUST signed an MoU with LGEDV Company and LG CNS Vietnam Company. This cooperation marks a significant step forward in a collective journey towards fostering technological innovation, strengthening academia-industry collaboration, and nurturing a new generation of skilled professionals.
At the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Huynh Quyet Thang, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, firmly believed this collaboration would extend beyond high-quality workforce recruitment collaborations to include industry-oriented training initiatives, joint research projects, and technology transfer programs tailored to LG’s needs. In addition, Hanoi University of Science and Technology may even explore establishing a joint R&D laboratory at HUST.

“I hope that today’s MOU signing marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between LGEDV, LG CNS and HUST, paving the way for impactful joint initiatives in the future. In July 2022, HUST signed an MOU with LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong, followed by another agreement with LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong one year later, in July 2023. These partnerships have provided invaluable opportunities for our students to participate in factory field trips or intensive internships at LG’s facilities in Hai Phong. The LG Track program supported valuable scholarships to dozens of HUST students annually, empowering them to excel academically and professionally.
LGEDV and LG CNS Vietnam have been pivotal in advancing Vietnam’s industrial and technological landscape, contributing to economic growth. Today marks a new chapter in our collaboration journey, which promises mutual growth, innovation, and excellence in education, research, and technology development.
The Communist Party of Vietnam and the Government of Vietnam have built strategies and demonstrated a burning desire and determination to develop science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, considering this a decisive factor for the country's progress. Vietnam has a significant Resolution No. 57 "On breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation". HUST is also building solutions to implement this resolution in the fastest, most effective, and most drastic way possible. Developing strategic partnerships with enterprises from the industry is one of the solutions.
