Following the first external quality assurance of the programs at the School of Mechanical Engineering, the Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs (AQAS) conducted additional accreditations at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) from February 17 to 19. This round evaluated three programs: the advanced program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (School of Information and Communications Technology), Educational Technology (Faculty of Education), and the advanced program in Business Analysis (School of Economics and Management).
Last week, HUST welcomed an AQAS delegation for its first visit and an external quality assurance of three training programs at the School of Mechanical Engineering. The university received positive feedback on its strategic development and commitment to enhancing education quality in line with its mission and vision. Building on this initiative, a second round of quality assurance was conducted by a team led by Ms. Vi Le, a consultant for International Accreditation at AQAS, along with experts from Germany and Vietnam. From February 17 to 19, the experts conducted in-depth interviews with leaders from the School of Information and Communications Technology, the School of Economics and Management, and the Faculty of Education. They also met with faculty, students, alumni, and employers, and toured the campus, classrooms, library, and laboratories.

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Phong Dien, Vice President of HUST, expressed hope that the AQAS experts would further review the achievements and provide recommendations for improving the Data Science and AI advanced program, Educational Technology program, and Business Analysis advanced program. Once the external assessment report is received, HUST will carefully analyze the recommendations and develop a detailed quality improvement plan. Assoc. At the closing session, AQAS experts highlighted key strengths, such as the practical relevance of the programs, industry connections, and research capabilities, and provided recommendations for improvement. AQAS is expected to send its assessment report to HUST by April, allowing time for feedback before submission to the council. The final accreditation decision will be announced by the end of May.
