HUST is actively expanding its semiconductor industry training programs by leveraging partnerships with leading international enterprises, establishing new relationships with foreign universities in the Asia-Pacific, EU, and especially the USA. The university aims to enhance educational quality and international integration, providing students with access to both domestic and international labor markets.
HUST and UA Leaders Sign MOU
During the ceremony, leaders from both institutions discussed future cooperation opportunities, such as developing training programs related to semiconductor technology and microchip technology, exchanging students, faculty, educational resources, and research achievements. They also emphasized promoting the training of human resources for chip and semiconductor development at HUST.
Associate Professor Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice President of HUST, stated, “HUST is one of the leading technical universities in Vietnam, with significant advantages in interdisciplinary engineering, providing comprehensive human resources for the semiconductor technology chain and playing a pioneering role in the higher education system under the Ministry of Education and Training.”

Highlighting the importance of collaboration with the University of Arizona, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Dang Chinh affirmed HUST’s strong foundation in semiconductor technology training and its desire to develop experts in the challenging field of microchip and semiconductor technology, which requires high technology, substantial investment, and expanded training scale.
Listening to the discussions, experts from the University of Arizona highly valued the potential for cooperation with HUST in the semiconductor sector. They expressed confidence that the combination of expertise and advanced technology from both institutions would yield significant achievements.

**HUST – A Key Member of the Semiconductor Technology Training Alliance**
For the past 15 years, HUST has been at the forefront of semiconductor industry training in Vietnam.
In October 2023, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of HUST, signed a cooperation agreement to develop high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry with leaders of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University of Danang, and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology.
HUST trains 3,000 high-level students annually, ready to contribute to the rapidly developing semiconductor industry.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, the university aims to implement integrated training, dual degree programs, and specialized training to meet the growing demands of both domestic and international markets.
