On 9/9, Hanoi University of Science and Technology organized the opening ceremony for the Asian Studies Program 2024 and the TF Scale 2024, inviting students and faculty from University of Innsbruck (Austria), Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore), and HUST.
“International exchange programs play a very important role at our university,” said Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Dac Trung, Director of Partnership and Engagement Department, HUST. “Every year, we get around 600 international students doing internships and taking short courses. We organize many programs for international students so they can discover our university and the land of Vietnam.”
Following the speech by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Dac Trung, Prof. Traweger Christian, Director of ASP, University of Innsbruck, expressed his excitement to collaborate with HUST for the 21st year and thanked HUST for their hospitality and attentiveness despite the obstacles posed by super typhoon Yagi.
Ms. Mark Fong Kim, Representative of the TF Scale Program, expressed her gratitude for the affection of HUST lecturers and students, reaffirming that the cooperative relationship between the two units will be strengthened in future exchange and cooperation activities.
Students attending the event were presented with musical performances from each country and participated in ice-breaking games to familiarize themselves with different cultures.
The event marked the next step in international liaison between HUST, University of Innsbruck, and Temasek Polytechnic. In addition, this is an invaluable chance for students from around the globe to experience living and studying in Vietnam and for HUST students to facilitate their friendships with international students.
