The Hanoi University of Science and Technology delegation represents Vietnam at the 12th ASEAN - China Young Leaders Exchange Program in Qinghai Province, China.
"Xin chào, Nǐ hǎo, Good afternoon distinguished delegates,..." was the trilingual greeting of a freshman from Hanoi University of Science and Technology amidst the silent auditorium of a presentation with guests from 11 ASEAN member states - China. When the presentation ended, responding to the student were resounding rounds of applause, whistles, and some people chanting "Vietnam! Vietnam!".

The program is a forum for dialogue, connection, and leadership capacity building for the younger generation from ASEAN countries and China. Guest delegations from 11 countries had the opportunity to meet, exchange cultures, and share knowledge about the common issues of the world.
The HUST delegation left a positive impression on international friends by always showing a proactive, civilized, and confident attitude in communication, and actively participating in conversations. Notably, the representative of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Bui Huy Hoang, a cohort 70 student of the School of Information and Communication Technology, shone at the presentation on the topic "Creating a Smart Homeland through New Quality Productive Forces," emphasizing the role of education, innovation, digital transformation, and ASEAN - China cooperation in sustainable development.

Delegates from 11 ASEAN member states were also very excited about the HUST student's presentation. Everyone in the auditorium constantly applauded to cheer, recorded videos, and took photos to capture Huy Hoang's shining moment.
Through practical experience activities in Qinghai, China, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology delegation visited and researched the model of clean energy development, ecological conservation, and technology application in Qinghai. The delegation members expanded their thinking on applying scientific knowledge to solve major societal problems.

Not only broadening their horizons with the scientific and technological applications of developed countries, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology delegation also excellently completed the task of cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy. The delegation actively participated in the cultural exchange Gala night, introducing Vietnamese identity and the HUST spirit to international friends. Representatives from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, etc., showed a lot of special affection for the Vietnamese delegation, and the delegations promised to reunite in another country to explore and experience new cultures together.
The end of the trip does not close a journey but is just the beginning of a beautiful friendship, a multinational, cross-border relationship. The young ASEAN leaders have a wide-open future with many development opportunities ahead. They will meet again and go further on their career paths.
