Over 700 Students Participate in 2024 HUST Student Sports Festival

On December 30, in the spirit of year-end festivities, the Youth Union and Student Association of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) launched the 2024 HUST Student Sports Festival. The event is part of the 37th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at HUST for the 2024 - 2027 term.

Now in its third year, the festival has drawn over 700 athletes competing across six sports, representing 12 schools, faculties, and departments within the university. The event does not only promote health and relaxation for students but also foster unity and teamwork.
 

Dr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union at HUST, opened the event with a speech emphasizing sportsmanship and integrity: “Through this festival, we hope teams and athletes will enhance their unity, compete honestly, and uphold the spirit of fair play, fostering a culture of excellence in sports. We trust referees to work impartially to ensure the highest quality matches.” To further ensure the success of the festival, Le Van Hoi, representing the student athletes, pledged honest, fair competition and full effort.
  The 2024 HUST Student Sports Festival kicked off with soccer matches of the BKCup, featuring 16 teams from various schools, faculties, and centers, setting the stage for a successful series of upcoming events.
