On December 9, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) hosted a signing ceremony and sponsorship certificate presentation, formalizing the donation of 10 million Japanese yen from AIDEM Inc. to support the Japan-Vietnam Space project at HUST.
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of HUST, expressed deep appreciation for AIDEM Inc. and their sustained efforts to foster a strong partnership with the university.
“On behalf of HUST, I sincerely thank AIDEM Inc. for your goodwill in supporting the establishment of the Japan-Vietnam Space and your active involvement in our cooperative initiatives with Japan,” he stated.
Mr. Tetsu Kabayama, Board Member and Marketing Director of AIDEM Inc., highlighted the purpose of the joint educational program between AIDEM and HUST. Beyond teaching Japanese, the program focuses on training skilled professionals capable of thriving in Japan. The company hopes that students would appreciate the value of living and working in Japan, becoming responsible global citizens.
“Learning that HUST has plans to establish a Japan-Vietnam Space to support students, our company has discussed ways to contribute to this initiative,” Mr. Kabayama added.
In 2018, to mark the 45th anniversary of Japan-Vietnam diplomatic relations, HUST and AIDEM Inc. signed their first agreement, marking the beginning of a seven-year partnership. Their joint educational program has strengthened students' language skills, soft skills, technical knowledge, and understanding of Japanese workplace culture, while offering valuable internship and employment opportunities. More than 350 students of HUST have trained in Japanese language (N4-N3) and business culture, with over 40 completing internships in Japan. The program also awards scholarships to 10-15 top students annually.
The year 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations, with the theme “Vietnam and Japan Together, Heading to the Future – Reaching Out to the World." As of now, HUST has signed over 50 cooperation agreements with Japanese universities, prefectures, and major companies like Toyota, Denso, Nissan, and Mitsubishi. The university has also supplied a significant number of highly skilled workers to the Japanese labor market. To further support students’ language and cultural development and strengthen ties with Japanese partners, HUST launched the Vietnam-Japan Space project.
AIDEM Inc., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, has established a strong reputation in human resources training, consulting, and management, providing support for fresh graduates. The company has 30 branches and serves around 115,000 corporate clients across Japan.
