On 1/10, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the inauguration ceremony of HUST Innovation Office BK Smart - Tech Center at Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC). With other delegates, the Prime Minister toured the office space, extended his congratulations and signed a commemorative plaque to mark this significant milestone for HUST.
Also attending the event were: Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment; Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training; Huynh Thanh Dat, Minister of Science and Technology; leaders from various ministries, central agencies, and local authorities; representatives from partnering businesses; and the management and faculty of HUST. The BK Smart - Tech Center was launched to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the NIC, supporting the government's policy to strengthen the national innovation network.
The center spans approximately 800 square meters on the third floor of the NIC building and features: a multifunctional workspace; an R&D lab for intelligent robotics; an R&D lab for semiconductor technology; an R&D lab for AI and big data applications; a lab for smart systems and energy; a lab for biomedical engineering, biotechnology, and food technology; and a technology product display area. The modern research space will enhance HUST's role as a key hub connecting the G29 Network of Science and Technology Universities in Vietnam with the world. Seizing the opportunity to thrive
The establishment of an innovation office at NIC Hoa Lac - one of Asia's top two commercial buildings in 2024 and a hub for Vietnam's nine priority technology sectors - presented HUST with a significant opportunity for globalization.
