20 Petrolimex Scholarships Awarded, 20 Future Aspirations Ignited

With faith in the role of the young generation of engineers in the future of Vietnam's energy, on the afternoon of June 18, 2026, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), held the Scholarship Awarding Ceremony for the second semester of the 2025 - 2026 academic year to 20 students with excellent academic and training achievements. Not only an occasion to recognize persistent efforts in the lecture hall, but the program is also a gathering between generations of HUSTers, where stories of effort, aspirations to rise, and the spirit of dedication continue to be passed down to today's students.

Accompanying Young HUST Talents

As a leading enterprise in the petroleum business and distribution sector, Petrolimex continuously innovates technology, modernizes its logistics system, promotes digital transformation, develops clean energy, and improves governance efficiency according to international standards. Behind these transformations is an ever-growing demand for a high-quality team of engineers in the fields of chemistry, mechanics, automation, information technology, energy, materials, and industrial management. Alongside its production and business activities, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) always pays special attention to social security work and the development of high-quality human resources.
Since the second semester of the 2023 - 2024 academic year, Petrolimex has accompanied Hanoi University of Science and Technology through a scholarship program for students with excellent academic and training achievements. Not only carrying the meaning of support and encouragement, the program also opens up many internship opportunities, experiences in actual working environments, and career orientation at one of the country's leading economic groups.

This year, the program selected 20 outstanding students to award scholarships. Among them, 12 students achieved Excellent academic results, 7 students achieved Good, and 1 student achieved Fair. Each scholarship is not only a recognition of persistent efforts in the lecture hall but also a source of encouragement for them to continue pursuing greater goals in study and life.
 
Accompanying enterprises, Hanoi University of Science and Technology is the cradle training many generations of engineers, experts, and managers currently working at Petrolimex as well as Vietnam's leading energy enterprises. The scholarship program is not only an acknowledgment of today's outstanding students but also a bridge between the university and the enterprise in training, research, innovation, and developing human resources for the national energy sector.
  Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh - Vice President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, expressed his gratitude to Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) for its practical accompaniment of the University's students over the years. He highly appreciated the Group's contributions in supporting students to develop comprehensively, while affirming that the link between the university and the enterprise is playing an important role in training high-quality human resources for the country.

When HUSTers Return to Pass the Torch to the Next Generation

Sharing at the ceremony, Petrolimex Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Dung, an alumnus of Chemical Engineering K33 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, expressed his emotion and pride upon returning to the school attached to his youth. He affirmed: "A degree from Hanoi University of Science and Technology is like a Class A accreditation certificate, highly appreciated by society and employers," while emphasizing that this is an important foundation helping generations of HUST students confidently affirm their abilities and develop their careers.
  He hopes that in the future, more and more HUST students, especially engineers in core engineering fields, will choose Petrolimex as their destination to dedicate and develop their careers. Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Dung affirmed that Petrolimex always opens its doors and is ready to create the best conditions for the young HUST generation to promote creative thinking, engage in practice, and follow in the footsteps of previous generations, actively contributing to the sustainable development of the country's energy sector.

Continuing Beautiful Values

For many students, the Petrolimex scholarship is not just material support but also a source of encouragement for them to remain steadfast on the journey to conquer knowledge.
Luong Thanh Hang, a 4th-year student in Business Administration at the School of Economics and Management, is one of the outstanding faces receiving a scholarship this year. This is also the fourth time Hang has had the honor of receiving a scholarship from Petrolimex.

"Receiving the scholarship four times means four times I have more clearly felt the trust, encouragement, and expectations that Petrolimex has for us students. That is the motivation for me to continuously strive and perfect myself," Hang shared.
  For Hang, the value of the scholarship lies not only in recognizing her efforts in academics and extracurriculars but also serves as a reminder of the responsibility to continue striving to create positive values for the community. The female HUST student expressed her desire that in the future she will have the opportunity to contribute her knowledge and experience to enterprises and society, as a way of continuing the beautiful values she has received today.

Thanh Hang's story is also a typical image of many HUST students being empowered by the companionship of enterprises – young people harboring aspirations to learn, dedicate, and are ready to become the next generation creating new values for the future.

Sowing Trust, Cultivating the Future

Before lighting a house, operating a factory, or driving a vehicle for hundreds of kilometers, energy has undergone a long journey of technology, governance, and people. In that journey, engineers are the ones standing behind the systems for storing, transporting, distributing, and utilizing energy safely and efficiently. Every liter of fuel is not just an energy source for the economy but also the crystallization of technical knowledge and innovation. Fuel streams can run engines, but it is knowledge that creates the driving force for sustainable development. Every Petrolimex scholarship today is an investment in the young engineers of Hanoi University of Science and Technology – those who will contribute to creating safer, more efficient, and greener energy solutions for Vietnam in the future.

The scholarship awarding ceremony closed with beautiful commemorative moments among the delegates, teachers, and students. Hanoi University of Science and Technology respectfully thanks the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) for always caring for and accompanying the University in the training and development of high-quality human resources.
