On January 10, 2020, MOU was signed between Assoc. Prof. Hoang Minh Son, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Prof. Nguyen Hung, Pro Vice Chancellor of Swinburne University of Technology. Swinburne University of Technology’s representatives affirmed their hope for further collaboration with HUST, especially in the research field.

In the beginning, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Minh Son happily welcomed the Swinburne’s representatives and stressed the importance of the ceremony, which marked the great cooperation between the two sides. “As Swinburne University of Technology and HUST are two leading technical universities of each country, I believe that the ceremony today will open an effective way to exploit our research strength at best.” – said the President of HUST.
Prof. Nguyen Hung agreed with President Hoang Minh Son that STEM is the strength and key areas of both universities. Therefore, he hoped to establish and strengthen collaboration, especially in research on the science and technology field. In addition, after the signing ceremony, Prof. Nguyen Hung proposed to work on joint research which was supervised by experts and lecturers from both universities and suggested to further expand the research areas of the two universities in the future.
After the MOU signing and in-depth discussion, Swinburne University of Technology’s representatives were invited to visit HUST through a lab tour including Center for Polymer Composite and Paper Technology, Biomedical-Engineering laboratories and International Training Institute for Material Science.
