On June 22nd, 2018, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Bamboo Airways – FLC Group had signed the Memorandum of Understanding, created a new cooperation relationship for HUST Schools and the Airline.
The Ceremony were presented with Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Khang – Vice President of HUST; Prof. Le Anh Tuan – Dean of School of Transportation Engineering (STE); Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong – Dean of School of Electrical Engineering (SEE); Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trong – Vice General Director of Bamboo Airways; FLC Group officers and students of HUST.
“The Signing Ceremony is the first step in a long-term and comprehensive cooperation between FLC Group and HUST. Having the vision of becoming a professional airline with high-qualified and well trained staff, Bamboo Airways expects the Agreement will be an additional factor to our development, as well as a career premise for Aerospace Engineering students”, said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trong.
Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Khang emphasized: “The MOU opened up a new relationship between HUST and Bamboo Airways, students from related schools will have opportunities to enhance practical skills by getting familiar with professional and advanced environment”.
According to the MOU, students from Transportation Engineering and Electrical Engineering Schools will have various benefits: scholarship-sponsored by FLC Group; recruitment-interview for 4th-year students with excellent outcome in studying, doing research and extra-curriculum activities; having opportunities to be employed by Bamboo Airways and FLC Group right after graduation. Students will also have opportunities to study to improve personal and professional capabilities in international airline-training centers.
In training cooperation, FLC Group and HUST will start surveying the human resource development demand of FLC and come up with a training program deploying short and long term training courses. In recruitment, a part of key technical staff for Bamboo Airways will be introduced and provided by HUST. The first two recruitment fields are aircraft engineers and maintenance mechanics.
During the Ceremony, FLC Group and Bamboo Airways Board of Director awarded two scholarships to the mentioned Schools with value of 50 million VND. The scholarships aim to support and encourage students with hard living condition, as well as to motivate officers and students in researching for more practical technology solutions.
