On November 08th 2019, Griffith University’s professors and representatives were invited to HUST campus to discuss about current collaboration and further cooperation regarding teaching, researching and exchange programs. After the official meeting with HUST’s Vice president and staffs, GU representatives had an informal and cordial information sharing meeting with GU program students.
At the meeting, after updating about HUST new ranking this year, Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, Vice President of HUST brightly declared, “We have a great start this year with a really great result”. On the other hand, Dr. Nguyen Vu Thang, Deputy Head of Academic Office, hoped to increase the exchange programs with more student, staff and lecturer exchange programs and more collaboration in research.
On the Griffith University side, Assoc. Prof. Erwin Oh, also stated that Griffith would love to cooperate with HUST especially in IT area as he believed that this is currently HUST’s strength. Regarding the exchange programs, Prof. Andrew Smith, Pro Vice Chancellor of Science, thought that the increase in long-term and short-term exchange programs would be benificial to both parties.
Afterwards, GU representatives had an informal and cordial information sharing meeting with GU program students. It was aimed at providing more information about GU, daily life around GU campus and working opportunities after graduation. The informative meeting took place with lively atmosphere in which students and GU representatives openly discussed and addressed questions.

Griffith University and HUST have collaborated on Mechanical Engineering Program with both institutions getting accredited by their partners since 2017. Students following GU’s program can continue study at GU campus at the second phrase and earn GU bachelor’s degree majoring Mechanical Engineering. |
