Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) has just reserved the spot in TOP 300 Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2020. Among Vietnamese representatives, HUST achieved the highest rank(s) in Citations.
The Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2020 use the same 13 performance indicators as the THE World University Rankings across four core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. However, there is a slight adjustment to reflect the Asian institutions’ traits, getting a region-specific view of each university.
The 2020 table ranks more than under 500 universities, up from just 400 last year. These universities come from 30 countries/regions across Asia.
This year, among 3 representatives coming from Viet Nam, HUST received the highest points in Citations. All these results show that our efforts in research and education are being recognised.
Earlier this year, HUST also received the great news in other rankings: placing at 33rd in ‘Affordable and clean energy’ in the THE Impact Rankings and TOP 400 and 500 for four subjects (Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering & Manufacturing, Computer Science & Information Systems and Mathematics) in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020 (noted that all four subjects achieved higher places compared to the previous year’s).
The Times Higher Education first started listing higher-education institutes in 2004, providing the definitive list of the world’s best universities. THE’s statistics has taken an important role in providing advice resource for students, helping them to decide and make a wise choice of their future paths.
